Samsung has quietly launched a new tablet called the Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2019) in India. This new tablet is launched in two variants LTE and Wi-Fi + LTE. To recall, the company launched this tablet with S-Pen globally a few days ago and now, it made its debut in India.

The tablet sports an 8.0-inch display with a resolution of 1280×800 pixels. Powering the device is a quad-core Snapdragon 429 SoC that is coupled with 2GB RAM and 32GB onboard storage. For more storage, users can install a microSD card of up to 512GB.
On the camera front, Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2019) tablet houses an 8-megapixel camera sensor and LED flash. For selfies and video calls, there is a 2-megapixel camera sensor. The tablet packs a 5100mAh battery and runs Android 9.0 Pie. The connectivity options of Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2019) include an accelerometer and an ambient light sensor.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2019) measures 210×124.4x8mm. Furthermore, the Wi-Fi-only model weighs 345 grams, while the LTE variant weighs 347 grams.
Both the variants feature dual speakers for a stereophonic audio experience. It comes preloaded with a Kids Home mode that is claimed to offer a child-friendly interface. The Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2019) also has Samsung’s Family Share feature that allows easy sharing of schedules, notes, photos, and reminders. Other preinstalled apps on the tab are Lego game content and native apps like My Art Studio, Crocro Adventure. It also has a Parental Control feature that helps the user to protect their children from accessing potentially harmful content.

Talking about the pricing, Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2019) Wi-Fi variant is priced in India at Rs. 9,999 and the Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2019) LTE variant costs Rs. 11,999. It will be available for buyers in Black and Grey color options. The Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2019) Wi-Fi variant is now listed for pre-orders via Flipkart and Samsung Shop, while the LTE variant will be made available across select offline and online channels by the end of August. The tablet comes with a free 2-month trial of YouTube Premium.
