Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5G with Snapdragon 865 appears on Geekbench

A new Geekbench listing has revealed that Samsung is working on the 5G version of the Galaxy Z Flip that will succeed in the first generation Galaxy Z Flip. This new phone will be called the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5G and it will bear the model number Samsung SM-F707B.

Also clear from the screenshot above is that the alleged Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5G comes with 8GB of RAM and that it runs Android 10 OS. Looking at the name of the motherboard (Kona), we assume that the phone uses the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 SoC. As per the previous report, the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5G will launch on August 5 along with Samsung Galaxy Note 20. However, the company is yet to confirm the launch details. An earlier report also suggested that the Galaxy Z Flip 5G will launch in Black, Copper, and White color variants.

To recall, the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4G version is fuelled by the Snapdragon 855 Plus SoC and it is paired with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of UFS 3.0 storage. It has a 12MP f/1.8 1.4um primary rear camera paired with a 12MP camera with an f2.2 aperture. For selfies, there is a 10MP f/2.4 sensor. It also features a fingerprint scanner on the right-side frame of the upper part of the device. It is backed by a 3300mAh battery that supports 15W fast charge and runs on Android 10-based One UI.
