Samsung teases the world’s first camera hole smartphone with an ultra-thin bezel display

Samsung has already brought triple and quad camera with its recent launches now the company decided to start implementing innovative technology in its upcoming mid-range smartphone line up where the Samsung brings the Galaxy A8s with a hole at the front, instead of a traditional notch. Yesterday, Samsung has teased the arrival of the Galaxy A8s at the launch of the Galaxy A9s and Galaxy A7s in China. These two phones are of triple and quad camera smartphones where the company is likely executing its plan.

The new device will be a first of its kind with a hole in the upper left corner of the display. The hole is for the front-facing camera and will most likely integrate the rest of the sensors as well – for proximity and ambient light. As per the design, it could accomplish the aim of a truly edge-to-edge display where nowadays the notch design became quite common with all popular flagship smartphones since the arrival of the iPhone X.

As per the teaser showcased at the launch event, courtesy ITHome, the Samsung Galaxy A8s will be the first in its kind smartphone with an ultra-thin bezel display. However, the company didn’t reveal anything about the Galaxy A8.So there is no information regarding the Specifications and pricing.

According to SamMobile renders that the smartphone could have a hole instead of a display notch to have the front-facing camera and other sensors. It is believed that the hole will be drilled into the display to accommodate the required sensors. This isn’t likely to be something similar to what we have seen on the existing Android smartphones as most of them have a rectangular display notch.

With recent Oppo and Viv launches of waterdrop notch design which occupies less space than that of the traditional notch design almost all top brand Android industries aiming for all screen design.

The camera hole on the Galaxy A8s will help Samsung deliver almost a full-screen experience. However, it will be interesting to see that how apps and interface would work in tandem with the hole.

Meanwhile, the Galaxy A9s which is continuing with its innovative tech this is the “world’s first rear quad camera” smartphone and features a 6.3-inch full-HD+ Super AMOLED display. The company at its China event also brought the Galaxy A6s as its first ODM phone that has been built by a third-party manufacturer.
