Smartron tband BP, and Heart Rate Monitoring Launched in India

Indian IoT(Internet of Things) gadgets manufactured brand Smartron on last saturday announced the launch of its first wearable in the market which is known as Smartron tband – in the country which is priced at Rs. 4,999, the tband comes with heart rate, ECG (Electro Cardiography) and BP (Blood Pressure) monitoring capabilities as well, alongside a sleek and lightweight design. The wearable will be available exclusively on an ecommerce via Flipkart starting 12:01am on from today.

Display

The Smartron tband bears a 0.96-inch (64×128 pixels) PM OLED single touch display.

Processor and RAM

The wearable is powered and supported by an MTK2523/ MTK2511 SoC, which is coupled with 4MB of RAM.

Battery

The device is fueled with a battery capacity of 100mAh which is a removable one as well placed under the hood on which the company has claimed 2-day battery life, and sensors on the tband include a 3-axis accelerometer, ECG monitor, and an optical heart rate monitor. The wearable is IP67 dust and water resistant.

USP

This is a first device which have features like ECG and BP monitoring that are not available even in high end products. The company said in a report that we want to build a strong tronX Health portfolio and this is our first step in that direction. This device is made for those people who don’t just want to track their activity or calorie count but are also looking at a health indicator which is highlighted with the help of a Health Index. The tband also going to brings some of the new features like hourly HRM, sleep efficiency, stress, and fatigue monitoring which are very important features for a healthy life.
