Police survey report claims that the using a mobile phone while driving is one of the main causes of accidents. According to a survey by a media agency, an individual using a mobile phone while driving or riding the 2 wheelers is four times more likely to have a serious crash resulting in hospitalization. Most of these accidents take place in cities like Bangalore, Delhi, Mumbai. But nowadays small cities are also witnessing these type of accidents.

Nowadays, drivers and bike riders continue to engage in a dangerous on-road activity, including overtaking, drink and drive, breaking traffic rules and using a mobile phone. These resulting in severe injuries, fatalities and extensive medical costs. The major accidents resulted in deaths due to negligence and because of mobile phones.

On 9^th July, in Hyderabad, the CCTV footage revealed a shocking accident because of the mobile call. The man is seen talking on the phone and then placed his mobile phone between his ear and shoulder to continue his conversation. Started the bike and turned towards the wrong side of the road. In a few seconds, his bike crashes into with another bike with two men on it. People and bystanders tried to help the injured, but he died on the spot. The two men on the other bike are safe. These case has been filed in the Hyderabad police station and doctors declared that bike rider died due to the brain dead.

The report proves that undertaking secondary tasks while driving, such as using a mobile phone, causes greater problems for experienced and even inexperienced drivers.

In fact, it is wise to carry a mobile phone in case of emergency. But you should be careful while using the mobile phones while riding. These small tips are advisable while riding or driving the vehicles.

• Park your vehicles and then make or pick the mobile calls.
• Get a small break in your ride and contact your family and friends and advise them not to call when you’re driving.
• Don’t even try to read or send text messages while driving or riding.
• Always make your conversations short and don’t talk about emotional topics while riding
• If you are a person who gets a lot of important calls, then buy a Bluetooth headset for hands-free conversation
• Use a hands-free device only in light traffic, and avoid all calls in heavy traffic.
