Upcoming Realme X Confirmed to Feature AMOLED Display with 91.2% Screen-to-Body Ratio

The next big Realme smartphone is upon us and in the very near future, fans of the Realme will be elated at finding out what its first flagship phone will look like. New leaks and rumors have recently uncovered what the Realme X will actually sport. Yesterday, a leak revealed that the company will unveil the Realme X along with the Realme X Youth Edition in China.

Now, a new leak revealed that the Realme X will feature an AMOLED display with 91.2% screen-to-body ratio. The screen to body ratio of the Realme X will be slightly higher than the Oppo F11 Pro. While there has not been any official word from the company till yesterday, a promo video of the upcoming Realme X confirmed the device will sport AMOLED display. The company claims that the selfie module can pop-up more than 200,000 times. The post reads “The leapfrog new species log 01: [lifting full screen] crack clue: screen accounted for 91.2%, AMOLED, can be lifted 200,000 times on May 15, #realmeX# leapfrog new species appeared!”.

Realme’s CMO Xu Qi Chase has posted a hands-on image of the upcoming Realme X on his official Weibo account. The image confirmed the phone will sports a full-screen display and a no notch display. The no notch on the screen confirms the presence of pop-up selfie camera. On the right edge of the phone, we can see the power button and the volume rockers are located on the left. Furthermore, one can also spot built-in OPPO’s new AI assistant Breeno on the Realme X.

Both Realme X and Realme X Youth Edition are already listed on China’s biggest online stores, Jingdong. The listing page does state that the Realme X and Realme X Youth Edition will be officially unveiled on May 15 in China.

Recent leaks of the Realme X have revealed that handset will feature a Snapdragon 855 SoC, 6 GB of RAM, 48MP + 5MP dual-camera setup at the rear, Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection and VOOC 3.0 fast charging technology. A recent report also hinted at the Realme X India launch, as a smartphone with model number RM1901 (Realme X) got the BIS certification recently.
