Vivo S1 Pro Teased on Amazon India; Launch seems imminent

Vivo S1 Pro has been teased on Amazon India. The smartphone is now most likely to launch in the country sooner than expected. It will be introduced as Amazon exclusive and may go on sale on the e-commerce website right after its launch. The Vivo S1 Pro has already been launched in other Asian markets including Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, and the Philippines.

The teaser page highlights a diamond-patterned camera system on its rear which includes a 48-megapixel primary sensor on the smartphone. Though the listing does not disclose the exact launch date of the device, it mentions the phone is ‘coming soon’.The phone will include a superwide and macro lens on the rear. Upfront, there will be a 32-megapixel camera for selfies.

According to the earlier report from 91Mobiles, the Vivo S1 Pro is likely to launch in India in mid-January with a price tag Rs. 19,999. The company is also likely to introduce the 6Gb RAM variant of the phone soon after the launch.

Vivo S1 Pro sports a 6.39-inch super AMOLED display with a 1080 x 2340 pixels full HD+ resolution and 91.64% screen-to-body ratio. Inside, the device is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 675 SoC.

The smartphone comes with two RAM and storage variants: 6GB RAM + 256GB storage and 8GB RAM + 128GB storage. The internal storage is also expandable up to 256 GB via a microSD card.

The primary camera comprises a triple camera setup with a 48 MP + 8 MP + 5 MP units with Super Night Scene mode. The front-facing camera features a 32 MP sensor with an f/2.0 aperture.

In terms of connectivity, the phone features a dual SIM setup with 4G VoLTE radios, an FM Radio, USB Type-C port, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. Apart from that, the phone features Wi-Fi a/b/g/n and an in-display fingerprint sensor. Powering the device is a 3700 mAh battery and the phone runs on Android 9.0 Pie-based Funtouch OS 9.0. The device also has a dedicated button on the left side of the phone for its in-house Jovi AI assistant.
