Vivo Y22 launched with Helio G85 SoC, 50MP dual-camera setup

A new Y-series smartphone has been launched by Vivo in Indonesia. The Chinese brand has launched the Vivo Y22 with 4G, a polycarbonate back panel, and a flat frame with curved corners. The device is expected to be launched in India soon as well. There has been no official announcement of the launch date. In the meantime, here are the specifications, features, and price details of the newly launched Vivo Y22.

The Vivo Y22 has been launched in Indonesia in two storage variants. The base model with 4GB RAM + 64GB storage is priced at IDR 2,399,000 (approx. Rs 12,900) whereas the 6GB RAM + 128GB storage price is kept under wraps at the moment. Y22 4G comes in three different colours – Starlit Blue, Metaverse Green, and Summer Cyan.

Vivo Y22 is equipped with a 6.55-inch IPS LCD with an HD+ resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate support. 

It is powered by a MediaTek Helio G85 SoC. The device offers up to 6GB of RAM, 2GB of Extended RAM support, and 128GB of internal storage. A microSD card slot is also available for expansion of storage. Vivo also is offering 2GB of Extended RAM support. 

There is a rectangular camera module on the back that houses two cameras: a 50MP main camera and a 2MP macro sensor. Upfront, it features an 8MP sensor. 

In addition, it features a 3.5mm headphone jack, USB Type-C port, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, etc. Software-wise, it boots Android 11-based Funtouch OS 12 out of the box.
