Last year, Xiaomi launched the Xiaomi 12 smartphone, and this latest flagship smartphone will soon hit global markets. Prior to the phone’s launch outside of China, the Xiaomi 12 appeared on Geekbench. 

It has been reported by Notebook Check that a listing on the device benchmarking website Geekbench indicates the Xiaomi 12 will ship with 8GB of RAM. In China, the phone was launched with a 12GB RAM variant.

Xiaomi 12 2201123G is listed as the model number, and the motherboard is listed as ‘taro’, which indicates a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC inside. The handset managed to achieve a single-core score of 711 and a multi-core score of 2834 on Geekbench 5.4.4.

Digital Chat Station also revealed details about the Xiaomi 12 Ultra on the Chinese microblogging site Weibo. Last month, Xiaomi launched the Xiaomi 12 and Xiaomi 12 Pro smartphones, however its Xiaomi 12 Ultra smartphone was not announced. According to the tipster, the smartphone will launch later this year with a large camera module. The tipster also shared a rough sketch of the rear camera module as a reply to the post. A center-aligned camera module is shown in the sketch, similar to Vivo’s rumoured X80 series smartphone, which is also expected to feature a left-aligned camera module.

A recent report suggests that Xiaomi 12 Ultra will come with a quad-camera setup, featuring a periscope telephoto sensor. We expect the smartphone to be released in early February, after the Chinese Spring festival. Previously, Tipster Digital Chat Station reported that Xiaomi 12 Ultra will be the first Chinese smartphone to have a high optical zoom lens.
