The rendered images look slightly different from one that previously shared concept image by tipster Benjamin Geskin. As per the new images in the courtesy of a Russian website Hi-tech, The upcoming Xiaomi Mi 9 is likely to sport a waterdrop-notch display which would be the third smartphone from Xioami to sports teardrop notch which it appears to be smaller and which in turn reduces the bezels on all sides of the phone. This also might be for more screen-to-body-ratio and better viewing angles. Talking about bezels the new device sports almost all screen view with negligible bezels on the sides.

On the back panel the device sports a vertically stacked triple camera setup that is rumoured to feature a 48-megapixel main module and rest of two will reportedly have 18-megapixel and 8-megapixel sensors. There’s no physical fingerprint sensor on the front or on the back, this clearly hints at the in-display fingerprint sensor. As the upcoming smartphone is considered as flagship one it is speculated that the company would likely to use this fingerprint sensor technology. On the part of colours, the rendered image shows a blue paint on its back so like the Mi Play and Redmi Note 7 the Mi 9 could also come in funky colours.

On Display front, all speculations have been for a 6.4-inch Full HD+ AMOLED screen. The device could be preloaded to run MIUI 10 based on Android 9 Pie. It is said to be backed by a 3,500mAh battery and could use 32W fast wired charging. Some rumours suggest that Xiaomi won’t be incorporating wireless charging support.

A new leak reveals two Xiaomi devices with model numbers — M1902F1T/A and MI1903F2A. One of them could be Mi 9 while the other one is said to be the Mi 9 SE.
