Xiaomi Mi A3 could sport in-display fingerprint scanner: Report

Up to now the so-called signature feature of premium smartphone segment in- display fingerprint scanner ,is now flew to many midrange smartphones. Now Xiaomi is also likely passing this feature to its midrange smartphones. Soon we could see this trending feature in upcoming Xiaomi Mi A3 smartphone as per a new report.

Based on a fresh report from XDADeveloper, The upcoming Xioami Mi A3 could hide its fingerprint scanner under the display. In addition to this, the upcoming handset could be an android One-powered smartphone like its predecessor Xiaomi Mi A2.

As per the XDA Developers Member Francesca report, There coulde be three new Xiaomi devices undergo hardware tests. Of the three, whose code names are “pyxis”,“bamboo_sprout”, and “cosmos sprout”, two have neen been identified as Android One smartphones. This based on the previous theory that a Android One-powered smartphone contains“sprout” in its code name. Notably, they are the Xiaomi Mi A3 and Xiaomi Mi A3 Lite.

Further, the report adds that the three Xiaomi smartphones could have a 32-megapixel selfie camera with four-in-one pixel binning technology. There is no information about what powers the handset . By considering Xiaomi Mi A2 was powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 chipset, it’s safe to assume that Xiaomi will bump the Xiaomi Mi A3 to Qualcomm Snapdragon 675.

To recall, The Xioami Mi A2 was launched in August last year. The handset features 5.99-inch LTPS IPS LCD screen, an aluminium body, and a dual-camera setup (20-megapixel + 12-megapixel) on the back. The selfie shooter is a 20-megapixel sensor with an f/2.2 aperture. It ships with a 3,000mAh battery and charges using a USB Type-C port. Its RAM and storage options include: 4GB RAM + 64GB storage and 6GB RAM + 128GB storage. Part of the Android One programme, the Xiaomi Mi A2 can be upgraded to Android 9 Pie.
