Xiaomi Redmi Y3

The company’s CEO has teased the upcoming selfie centric phone in a new tweet. Managing Director of Xiaomi India, Manu Kumar Jain has tweeted about the arrival of the new Redmi Y3 in India, hinting at the whopping 32-megapixels front camera. The teaser comes just a day after the company president asked if Xiaomi should launch a Redmi smartphone with 32-megapixel selfie camera on Weibo. To recall, recently alleged Xiaomi Redmi Y3 with Model Number M1810F6G was spotted on Wi-Fi certification site revealing few specs.

There are not many details regarding the phone. The Redmi Y3 is expected to release soon, nevertheless, the exact launch date has not been announced. It looks like we will have to wait for a few more days to find out the launch date and the specifications of the device. The Xiaomi Redmi Y3 is a mid-range device and the price should not exceed the Rs 15,000 mark. However, the exact price will come out on the launch date.

Smartphone brands are on a race to create the perfect phone. Xiaomi has improved the camera department on a lot of its smartphones in the past year. The company has already launched the Redmi Note 7 Pro with the massive 48-megapixels rear camera. Now, they are all set to rock again with a new selfie-centric smartphone. Considering the predecessor Redmi Y2 was launched with 16-megapixel selfie camera, the 32-megapixels front shooter on the upcoming Redmi Y3 will be a huge upgrade. It could use Samsung’s GD1 32-megapixel sensor for the front camera setup, which offers HDR enhancement and is recently seen on the Vivo V15 Pro as well. It is expected to feature the same dual rear camera setup of 12-megapixel + 2-megapixel used on the Redmi Note 7.
