Redmi Note 7 Leads AnTuTu’s List of Value for Money Android Smartphones

AnTuTu, one of the popular benchmarking apps for Android phones, has released the top ten value for money Android smartphones list for February 2019. AnTuTu benchmark app provides a general idea of how a smartphone performs during gaming or multitasking. Surprisingly, top ten rankings are dominated by Chinese smartphone makers.

The list of value for money smartphones by AnTuTu is divided into three price segments such as 0 to 999 RMB, 1,000 to 1,999 RMB, 2,000 to 3,000 RMB, and 3,00 RMB and above.

The top spot was taken by Xiaomi’s recently launched mid-range Redmi Note 7 smartphone. Note 7 3GB RAM variant has topped value for money (VFM) list with a score of 143.6. The phone score on AnTuTu is 143,466 points. The second spot is taken by the Lenovo K5 Pro 4GB RAM and 64GB storage variant which achieved 120 points. The Lenovo K5 Pro comes with a price tag of 948 RMB (approx. Rs 9,500) in China. The third place is taken by the 4GB RAM and 32GB storage variant of Meizu Note 8, which carries a price tag of 899 RMB (approx. Rs 9,000) in China. The Meizu Note 8 scored 103,813 points in benchmarking list and achieved 115.4 VFM score.

The fourth spot was taken up by Xiaomi’s 2GB RAM and 16GB storage variant of Redmi 6A. Huawei’s Honor 8C and Honor 8A took the fifth and sixth spots respectively. Seventh, eighth, ninth and tenth spots are taken by 3 GB + 32 GB Redmi 6, 4GB+64GB Lenovo S5, 4GB+64GB Meizu V8, and 4GB+64GB Lenovo K5 Note, respectively.

To recall, the new Redmi Note 7 launched in China with a 6.3-inch FHD+ display with 19.5:9 aspect ratio and 2.5D curved glass. The phone backs 4,000mAh battery which is compatible with 18 watts quick charging. The Redmi Note 7 comes with a metal unibody design and bears a fingerprint sensor on the rear panel. Under the hood, the Redmi Note 7 is armed by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 SoC and it comes with a gradient glass-like back finish and carries a new “Redmi by Xiaomi” logo on the back. The phone is equipped by a 48-megapixel (Samsung GM1 sensor) camera on the back which has an aperture of f/1.8 and secondary camera of 5-megapixel for depth-sensing. There is a 13-megapixel selfie camera with standard beauty and AI modes on the front.
