Xiaomi confirmed the launch date of its upcoming flagship smartphone Redmi K20. Redmi K20 will be launched on May 28 in China. An official poster from the company revealed that Redmi K2o will be launched at 2 PM local time (11:30 AM IST) in Beijing.

Many leaks and teaser also surfaced online ahead of the official launch and revealed most of the specifications and features of the upcoming smartphone from Xiaomi. The company shared a poster on Weibo which confirmed the 48MP rear camera with Sony IMX586 sensor. It is also confirmed that Redmi K20 will be equipped with the latest and powerful Snapdragon 855.

Co-founder of Xiaomi, Lin Bin also shared the  AnTuTu benchmark score of the Redmi K20 as 4,58,754, which is even greater than the Apple iPhone XS. General Manager of Redmi, Lu Weibing also confirmed that the cameras of Redmi K2o are capable to shoot 960 fps slow-motion videos.

Global VP of Xiaomi, MD of Xiaomi India, Manu Kumar Jain also teased this latest flagship smartphone after the launch of latest flagship smartphones from OnePlus, which also confirmed that Redmi K2o will come with Snapdragon 855 processor.

 Redmi K20 Specifications

Based on the latest leaks, Redmi K2o sports a 6.39-inches full HD+ OLED display with 2340×1080 pixels resolution and 19.5:9 aspect ratio. The display is also protected by Gorilla Glass 6.

On the back, Redmi K20 is featured with the 48MP primary camera, 13MP camera and an 8MP camera. It may also have a 20MP pop-up selfie camera. Redmi K20 runs MIUI which is based on Android 9.0 and backed with a 4,000mAh battery which supports 27W fast charging.

Some leaks also suggested that the upcoming Redmi flagship may come in two variants Redmi K20 and Redmi K20 Pro. It is also posted that both smartphones will come with RAM up to 8GB and 256GB internal storage.

Xiaomi is yet to confirm the number of models, RAM and storage variants. The price details of these smartphones are also not yet available. Redmi K20 may also reach the Indian markets soon after the launch in China.
