So, Redmi Note 9 series finally has a launch date. After the amazing success of the Redmi Note 8 series in the country, the company is all set to bring its next Note series to the country, the successor to its Redmi Note 8 and Redmi Note 8 Pro.
The company will be launching the Redmi Note 9 series on March 12. Another competitor Realme also launching its Realme 6 series on March 5 in India alongside the Realme fitness band. So, there’s a lot to happen over the next few days in the country.
Further, the upcoming Note 9 series smartphones are set to bring in a host of new features. As per the tweet from the Xiaomi, the new Redmi Note 9 series will feature a quad rear camera setup. The series appears to have a square-shaped camera setup like Huawei Mate 20 Pro and Nova 5i Pro. Moreover, the teaser image also hints at a faster refresh rate on the new Redmi Note series phones. So, we can expect a 90Hz display on the Redmi Note 9 and Note 9 Pro similar to the Realme 6 series phones.
The company also published a new video on its Redmi India YouTube channel that highlights the history of the Redmi Note series in India and suggests that its legacy would continue with the new phones.
To recall, Xiaomi recently dropped the price of its Note 8 Pro in India. The smartphone is now available for a starting price of Rs 13,999. The mid-range model with 6GB of RAM + 128GB storage and top-end model with 8GB of RAM are now available at discounted prices of Rs 15,999 and Rs 17,999 respectively.
