Motorola has introduced a Moto E22s budget smartphone in India. The latest device from the Lenovo-owned brand packs a MediaTek Helio G37 SoC, 5000mAh battery, and 90Hz refresh rate, and features a PMMA-acrylic design.

The Moto E22s comes in a single 4GB RAM + 64GB internal storage variant. Priced at Rs 8,999, the phone will go on sale starting October 22 through Flipkart. Additionally, Reliance Jio customers can benefit from special offers worth Rs 2,549 when buying the smartphone. The device comes in two colors – Arctic Blue and Eco Black.

Moto E22s sports a 6.5-inch tall IPS LCD with an HD+ resolution of 1600 x 720 pixels, and a 90Hz refresh rate. 

There is a MediaTek Helio G37 SoC under the hood of the device alongside 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. In terms of battery capacity, Motorola has packed a 5000mAh unit that supports 10W fast charging. 

The back of the phone is equipped with dual cameras. It features a 16MP primary camera with an f/2.2 aperture and a 2MP depth sensor. This phone has an 8MP front-facing camera. Both front and rear cameras are capable of recording videos up to 1080p at 30 frames per second.

The device is also splash-resistant, with an IP52 rating. The device comes with a fingerprint scanner mounted on the side as well as an AI face unlock feature. Software-wise, it boots Android 12-based MyUX out of the box. 

Other features of the device include a single-speaker setup, FM radio, dual-band Wi-Fi,  Bluetooth 5.0, GPS/ A-GPS, USB Type-C port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.  It weighs 185 grams and is 8.49mm thick.
