OnePlus 6T Users Facing Battery Drain Issue

OnePlus 6T, the latest flagship from the Chinese smartphone maker OnePlus, has been an massive hit in market, however, there are some users who are complaining about abnormal rapid battery draining. The device come with an in-display fingerprint sensor and it is armed by Snapdragon 845 SoC paired with 6GB/8GB RAM. The OnePlus 6T is backed by a 3700 mAh battery which is biggest in OnePlus phones to date.

Many OnePlus 6T users shared their poor battery backup experience on Reddit.

“So for the past day or so, my 6t’s battery has suddenly started draining from 80% extremely fast. If I had to guess I’d say my battery life was at least halved all of a sudden and I’m not even putting it through heavy workloads or anything. I’ve put background restrictions on the biggest culprits and that hasn’t done anything. I updated the software to the latest version available to the T-Mobile version and that didn’t do anything at all either,” u/blamfablam said who started the OnePlus 6T battery issue page on Reddit.

One user who faced this abnormal battery draining issue claimed that even after clearing cache, restricting battery draining apps and updating the phone to the latest software build still the issue hasn’t been solved. While another user claimed that the screen on time on his OnePlus 6T has come down to 4 hours, which is about 6-7 hours at least before.
Another user not only reported a battery drain issue but also reported overheating of the device. But, he ecen mentioned that the issue was resolved once he performed a factory reset.

OnePlus is yet to respond to the complaints, but you can expect a fix to come out soon enough. If you’re facing the same issue on your OnePlus 6T, then try factory reset or wait for a new update from the company.
