Redmi Note 8, Note 8 Pro Officially Confirmed to Launch on August 28 Alongside Redmi TV

After several leaks and teasers, Xiaomi has confirmed that the company will launch the Redmi Note 8 series smartphones on August 28 in China. The company is launching the Redmi TV alongside the Redmi Note 8 and Redmi Note 8 Pro. The Redmi TV will be the first television from Xiaomi’s sub-brand Redmi. The company’s teaser on Weibo revealed that the Redmi Note 8 series will have a quad-camera setup with a primary 64MP camera.

The poster announcing the smartphone launch date, confirms that the phone will come featuring a quad rear camera setup. Along with the smartphone teaser, Redmi even shared a post on Weibo showing off the Redmi TV, first television set to launch under the sub-brand. The company’s official Weibo post does not say anything about the specifications of the both Redmi TV and Redmi Note 8 smartphone. Redmi TV is already confirmed to come with a massive 70-inch display, and except the screen size, no other specs are known. Recently, alleged Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 received 3C certification with Helio G90T.

As per a recent leak, the Pro version of the Redmi Note 8, the Redmi Note 8 Pro will feature a 64-megapixel camera sensor and a full-screen display with a waterdrop notch. Recently, the company’s CEO Lu Weibing teased a few highlighting features of the upcoming Redmi Note 8 series which include long battery life, better camera performance, higher screen-to-body ratio, and better feel in hand.

Few reports also hinted at the presence of USB Type-C port and a 3.5mm audio jack on the device. Coming to the SoC, the Redmi Note 8 might launch with Snapdragon 665 or Snapdragon 675 under the hood, considering the Redmi 7S comes equipped with Snapdragon 660 SoC.
